Traci Bartlett (Cap 67) and Sharon Black (Cap 68) both debuted in 1991 playing 64 and 66 matches respectfully for the Matildas.

Traci played as a defender for the Matildas notching up 64 games (51 A Internationals) and 1 goal, scored in a World Cup qualifier in 1991. In 1999 she was voted Australian Women’s Player of the Year.

Playing as a midfielder, Sharon’s 61 A International games delivered 20 goals. She played internationally with Fortuna Hjorring, appearing in the 2003 UEFA Women’s Cup Final alongside Alison Forman.

Tracey and Sharon were both named in the FFA 1990s Team of the Decade.

  • Steffen – Clare Wheeler backed up her busy and impressive second half Matildas performance against Brazil on Tuesday with a 30-hour flight back to Denmark followed by a full game for Fortuna Hjørring, scoring her first goal for the club.
